The Story Behind GoFundRobots.org

Starting from a simple Panda Express fundraiser posted on Chief Delphi, we realized the potential for a platform that could support FIRST teams any day of the week. GoFundRobots.org is our answer to that need - a dedicated space for FIRST teams to manage, share, and participate in fundraising events with ease.

Panda Express as an example offers Neighborhood Fundraisers where you can host an event at your local Panda Express, or Virtual Community Fundraisers where you can host an event at Panda locations nationwide. The 'Virtual Community Fundraiser' option offers online ordering for pick-up or delivery and a 28% giveback. Now you just need to spread the word to your community!

Thats where GoFundRobots.org comes in.

Beyond just sharing fundraisers like the Panda Express example, GoFundRobots.org also allows teams to create their own fundraiser posts in one central place the whole FIRST International community can see and share. Whether you have a local bake sale, an online discount code or are selling team merchandise, you can create a fundraiser post to share with the world.

Who created GoFundRobots.org?

GoFundRobots.org was created by FRC Team 453 - Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robotics in collaboration with FRCZero.org to support FIRST teams in their fundraising efforts.

Students and Mentors created GoFundRobots.org as a way to give back to the FIRST community and help their own teams raise money for their programs. FIRST is an amazing program that has changed the lives of so many students and mentors, and we want to help ensure that it can continue to do so for years to come.

How can I help?

GoFundRobots.org is a free service for all FIRST teams to use. We do not charge any fees or take any portion of the funds raised through our platform. We do this because we believe in the mission of FIRST and want to help teams succeed.

At the moment hosting and other costs associated with the service are provided by FRCZero.org for the benefit of the FIRST community. If you would like to help support the ongoing costs of the service or help us implement newer features, please contact FRC Team 453's Head Coach Mr. Siefen via email.
